Guest Comments Moving to Holiday Rentals

Since we started renting out our apartment in Los Alcazares we have always provided a guest book in the apartment and published these comments on this site.

However since Holiday-Rentals.co.uk started its 'renters review' section we felt it was not fair to ask our renters to comment twice. Obviously reviews on the holiday rentals site are very helpful for our advertising so we made the decision to ask people only to provide a review on that site. We have however left our previous guest book comments on here as they do contain some useful tips and recommendations that have been collected over the years.

If you do wish to leave a review for this site it will always be welcome.

Favourite restaurants - Bayside, La Diva, El Patio & Royal India but have enjoyed all the meals eaten out even in beach-side bars.

Would recommend to family and friends and would visit again."

“Had a fantastic week in Los Alcazares – spent last week up the road in Los Urrutias but in a much smaller apartment. Have really enjoyed the space here and with everything in walking distance the week has been really relaxing.

- Been Jet Skiing in Punta Brava - €70 Euros for 30 mins. Signs off the main road.

- The festival and night market were a welcome bonus, by they finish on the 24th August

- Mercadona supermarket is a must for the fish counter – stunning

- Hire pedalos on the beach - €12 Euros for 1 hour and slide into the sea – kid heaven!!

- Weather quite incredible – 35 degrees during the day and 24 at night. The ceiling fans were a godsend!

Had friends in another apartment on this complex so we had a very social week.

The apartment has everything you could want – brilliantly equipped – no flies or ants seem to have entered the threshold at all – a real problem in our 1st week at the other apartment!

Thanks for a great week, we will definitely be back.”

"We have really enjoyed our 2 week holiday here. Very impressed with accommodation and loved the fact that everything was so easy to get to.

We ate out most nights - favourite restaurant was the Baysdie! Also had a few BBQ's on the roof.

Beach was fantastic - lovely warm water and very clean - lovely breeze too!

Very difficult to find anything negative to say, but we did think that a couple of light folding sun-chairs would be great to take down to the pool every day.

"We have all thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this part of Spain.

Excellent accommodation and perfect location for shops, beach and restaurant. Great not to have any noise, local music etc. A really peaceful and relaxing week.

Had some excellent meals but El Patio was our favourite by some distance!

Would return next week if we could but it will have to be next year if we can wait that long.

"Can't think of too many things that haven't been said in previous entries.

This is an excellent apartment in a great location. For anybody looking for a holiday by the sea, but at an apartment with a great pool, close to shops, bars, restaurants, banks...and the airport....this is perfect.

We've tried most of the restaurants mentioned in this book and in the apartment guide. We haven't discovered a favourite...they're all perfectly fine restaurants. In terms of local supermarkets, Mercadona in the square is the nearest and the best, but for one that is open more often...turn left out of the apartment, up to the roundabout and turn right. Over 1st roundabout and supermarket is on right (yellow and green.)"

"Enjoyed our holiday in Los Alcazares. The weather was great for this time of year - we spent 5 days at the beach.

The apartment was great, well equipped and in a most convenient location.

Like previous visitors our favourite restaurants were La Diva, El Patio and La Encarnacion. We spent our wedding anniversary enjoying a 2 hour Sunday lunch in La Encarnacion.

We will definitely return to this area of Spain, we love it."

"Lovely apartment with a Spanish feel to the furnishings. Martine & Bill are excellent hosts and fulfilled many of our requests which were above and beyond. First holiday ever without hiring a car which certainly keeps you fit! It was great just walking to restaurants.

Martine's recommendations for Spanish food were spot on. We especially loved the ambiance, service and creative food presentation of La Encarnacion (3 times).

For our first week we had our son and grandchildren in the apartment next door. The beach and sea were just perfect for a 3.5 and 1.5 year old.

We will definitely return and next time hire a car to explore the coast."

"This has been a lovely return visit to this apartment. Just as spacious and well maintained as we remembered. Unfortunately the weather hasn't been great - but we kept busy!
